How Exercise Promotes Better Sleep

From planting flowers in the spring to raking leaves in the fall, outdoor chores such as these provide your body with a great workout. Afterward, you will know you’re getting a full day’s workout in. If you haven’t tackled outdoor to-dos like those in a while, at the end of the day you will feel pretty tired and sleep like a baby. Whatever the season, you can easily get a workout in by performing some outdoor chores.

The Connection Between Physical Activity & Sleep

Did you know that regular exercise helps to develop deeper sleep patterns? Specifically, exercising during the day can help increase the quality and duration of sleep.

Regular Movement Fosters Restorative Sleep

Physical activity is extremely beneficial. People who work out on a regular basis who have an active lifestyle or are doing things around the house sleep better, longer and wake up more refreshed.

If you’re not physically active and having issues sleeping we recommend you exercise. Add some fresh air and sunshine to reap even greater benefits. Spending some time outdoors in the sunshine can help your body more effectively produce melatonin which can help you sleep better.
